Solitaire

How to play Solitaire

Classic Klondike, the game many of us first played on a Windows computer. Open a section below whenever you want a hand.

The goal

Move all 52 cards to the four spaces marked A at the top right, one suit each, in order from Ace up to King.

How to move cards
  • Put a card on one that is one higher and the opposite color. A red 6 goes on a black 7.
  • You can move a whole group of face-up cards together.
  • Face-down cards flip over by themselves when uncovered.
  • Only a King can go into an empty column.
  • Tap any card and it moves to the best place for you.
Using the deck

Stuck? Tap the deck in the top left to turn over a new card. When it runs out, tap the empty space to go through the cards again. Choose 1 or 3 cards at a time in More → Settings.

Tips to win more
  • Uncover face-down cards first.
  • Keep empty columns for Kings.
  • Don't rush low cards up to the Aces if they could still help in the columns.
  • Use Undo freely. There is no penalty.
